Valentine's Day
I forgot to tell that yesterday that the 6th of August was the Chinese Valentine's Day (also called the Qi xi festival). It occurs on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month in the lunar calendar. It's not as big thing as in Sweden but some bakerys sold special pastries with hearts. The story behind is a Chinese legend. For a long time ago there was a handsome cow herd named Nuilang. He worked hard in the fields. One day the Seven Daughters of Heaven come to earth to take a bath and Nuilang peek the at them and steal the clothes from the youngest and the most beautiful daughter. By doing this the Seventh Daughter, Zhinu, couldn't return back to Heaven and Nuilang asked her to marry him. So two years later Nuilang and Zhinu got two children. However, The Emperor of Heaven realized that youngest daughter was gone and sent guards from Heaven to bring her back. Nuilang and Zhinu could only meet once a year on a magpie bridge from Heaven to Earth on a , on the 7th day in the 7th month .
