Taipei 101

On Sunday I went to Taipei 101 with my parents. I'm so amazed over this building, the second tallest building, 508 m, in the world and stands in a place where typhones occur frequently and also earthquakes may strike . The construction is stabilized with 36 steel columns in the ground giving both a flexible and firm construction. Inside one can also find the fastest elevator in the world. Some people may not raise their eyebrown but I (as a to-be-engineer) find this as a true technological and physical achievement. So cool!
What a mission to clean all the windows...

At the 89th floor. The guide apparate was very useful. It presented different historical info and worthseeing places from the different columns of the building.

There's a sphere, the wind damper, near the top of the building that stabilizes in case of wind.
